This quest is lame and doesn't give a lot of rewarding feedback when you're done, but it does point you toward Vault 34. Before visiting Vault 34, have 100 lockpick or Colonel Blackwell's Inventory key from Pearl's filing cabinet at Nellis. You'll need one of them to obtain the Pulse Gun. The Pulse Gun fires what is like a beam version of what pulse grenades do (electromagnetic burst that cripples/destroys robots). Starting off, speak with Morgan Blake (either working the fields or sleeping in the south-east barrack) and she'll ask you to investigate the water supply. Walk over to the east pump station and activate the terminal for information (I'm not if this is a glitch or not, but I didn't have to repair the terminal's network connection to gain access to the information needed to advance the quest). The terminal informs you of a radiation leak and your pip-boy points you in the direction of the source, Vault 34. Vault 34 is a fairly large and dangerous vault. It suffered from being overpopulated with gun nuts. During a series of riots, its nuclear reactor got damaged causing a majority of the population to become feral ghouls. The problem is that they're tough ghouls since some are Glowing Ones and/or clothed in Vault Security personnel armor. Another issue is that they like to sneak up on you.
